It’s a wind storm today.

Finally I can say it is not 145 degrees in the sun.  It’s only 138 degrees today.  That is due to wind that has decided to rear its ugly head upon us.  Of course, wind only means one thing – blown sand.  It’s great to have sand blasting all over when you are trying to remove the effects of Turk 182, but not when you are trying to walk around base.

I wanted to get a picture of this so that you could relate.  Problem is that the sand blowing heavily is down near the CLUs, and given almost a mile from the office, I ended up shooting it from a distance.  You might be able to get an idea of the hzae the wind is creating with the sand in the picture below.  Just look beyond IT2 Coker.  Unless you know Coker, then you know just to look at him.  He wanted to ensure he was featured on this website, given his stunning looks (all quotes from him – true story).  Feel free to leave him a comment below…
